If you were not lucky enough to hear Stephen McKenna in conversation with Gavin Delahunty at the Kerlin Gallery last Friday, you can still visit the exhibition of his work there until October 9.
Born in London in 1939, McKenna studied at the Slade School of Fine Art from 1959 to 1964 and is a member of Aosdána. After 1973 he lived between Ireland, England, Germany, Belgium and Italy, and since 2000 solely in Ireland. http://www.kerlin.ie/exhibitions/Present-Exhibitions.aspx
Gavin Delahunty is currently Curator at Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (mima) and in November 2010 will take up his new post as Head of Exhibitions and Displays at Tate Liverpool
