The Cultural History of Ireland Research Association (CHIRA) is a not-for-profit organization based in Dublin, Ireland. The group aims to provide a forum for discussion of current scholarship on Irish cultural history. Our membership is composed of post-graduate and early-career researchers of Irish art, architecture & material culture as well as Irish history, geography and literature.
We look forward to broadening the disciplinary scope of our membership. Please indicate your associated institution and your area(s) of interest.
The first meeting will be held in Dublin in late September. Details of the venue and time will be emailed to members in due course.
